Where: 901 S. 9th St, Philly's Italian Market
What: Glazed raised donut holes
When: Saturday, May 25th, 2013
The donut holes are 10/$1. I feel that's all this review really needs. And that they're good. They are some of the largest donut holes I've ever had, easily four bites. Ok, four bites for me. Maybe one for you. Or a hungry boy. You get the idea.
The ratio of glaze to donut is perfect, more glaze than Dunkin's any day. They are also slightly sticky as if they were just glazed before you walked in. They also have the standard selection of basic donuts, nothing fancy and not a lot of options late in the day. (No maple, they lose some points for that.)
They are the perfect snack for wandering around the Italian Market, one of my favorite places to go in Philly. So get them and then people watch or check out kitchen gadgets you didn't even know you needed at Fante's. Planned your afternoon in Philly for you. You're welcome.
