After Hilltop, I took another bus to Super Donuts in Carlsbad. I had been in the area visiting a friend who commented after all my trips that I knew more about his local public transportation than he did! :-)
They had a smaller selection than Hilltop, my maple cake donut cost 85 cents. The maple was more of a glaze than a frosting and not as flavorful as Hilltop. The cake donut was very good for a cake donut and slightly dense (but not too dense, still spongy). I'd give it a 3/5.
Gah. I keep reading this blog and then spending the rest of the day in a daze of donut lust. Must. Eat. More. Donuts.
